Cristin Etheredge Named Director of Compliance and Technology

With great pride, we share the news that Cristin Etheredge has been promoted to Director of Compliance and Technology at Yeske Buie. Cristin is the best fit for this position for many reasons, including that she’s been leading both of these programs within the firm in some capacity for over ten years.

Cristin’s journey at Yeske Buie began in 2010, and over the past fourteen years, she’s grown from Office Administrator to her new role as Director of Compliance and Technology. During this time, Cristin has worn many hats and has never turned down a challenge to learn a new software or skill as the firm’s needs have evolved. Three words that our leadership team would use to describe Cristin are:

DEDICATED

ADAPTABLE

PROACTIVE

As Cristin moves into this new role, we asked her to reflect on a few questions about her approach to her work and what she’s looking forward to in the future. Congratulations, Cristin, and thank you for your years of hard work, commitment to our Clients, and all the ways you lead our team going forward.

Yeske Buie: What are you most excited about in your new role, and how do you see it benefiting our Clients?

Cristin: I am honored and excited to be assuming larger roles in both technology and compliance at the firm. It’s so important to have someone dedicated to ensuring that we’re always positioned well from a technological perspective and keeping up with the industry regulations for our firm. Having a team member dedicated these functions helps position our firm to be best in class for our Clients.

Yeske Buie: How will your new responsibilities allow you to further support our Clients?

Cristin: While I will continue to wear more hats in the firm than my title indicates, having this focus on what the firm needs from me will help to guide me in ensuring that I spend the majority of my time on these functions and continue to build strategic resources on technology and compliance. This allows me to be able to answer questions for the firm when they come up for Clients or within our network (strategic partners and fellow planners).

Yeske Buie: What’s one lesson you’ve learned from your time at the firm that will guide you in your new position?

Cristin: To embrace one of our core values – Learn Big! We believe that learning fuels potential. Learn Big means to be curious, teachable and to always try to utilize a beginner’s mindset. Most importantly what we learn is never intended to be hoarded, but to be shared for the betterment of all.
