Join the Yeske Buie Team from both offices for our Open House in San Francisco on Thursday, Nov. 7th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. PT. Wine tasting, a YeBu souvenir, St. John’s catering, a fortune teller, and an art exhibit will all be part of the fun at the Mills Building on 220 Montgomery Street, Suite 900.

Elissa and Dave will feature four wines from three of their favorite wineries in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County – Iron Horse Vineyards, Merry Edwards Winery, and DeLoach Vineyards.
2007 Ocean Reserve “I Am Giving, I Am Sparking, I Am Limited, I Am The Ocean”
	Iron Horse Vineyards We will be featuring the Iron Horse 2007 Ocean Reserve sparkling wine. This cuvee was created to celebrate the 125th anniversary of National Geographic and $4 from the sale of each bottle will be donated to create marine protected areas and reduce overfishing around the world. In addition to the Ocean Reserve, we will be featuring Iron Horse’s 2010 UnOaked Chardonnay.

Merry Edwards Winery Merry Edwards started brewing beer in her dorm room then eventually went to UC Davis and became one of the first women to get a graduate degree in oenology and work in what was then a male-dominated field. While seeking her first winemaking position, Merry encountered gender discrimination time and again. Supported by her mentor, Dr. Maynard Amerine, she stayed the course, pursuing a career as a winemaker, rejecting positions as a laboratory technician, the traditional role of women in the science of winemaking at that time. Merry’s perseverance precipitated changes in hiring policies, paving the way for future generations of women to take charge in the cellar. In many ways, Merry Edwards is like her wines — complex, balanced and memorable. An intricate blend of artistic vision, scientific training, spirit and grace, she leaves a lasting impression. We will be featuring Merry’s 2011 Pinot Noir.		2011 Pinot Noir
2009 Zinfandel
DeLoach Vineyards San Francisco firefighter Cecil DeLoach spearheaded Pinot Noir wine growing in the Russian River Valley in the early 1970s. After the Boisset Family from Burgundy, France assumed ownership in the early 2000s, they have since enhanced the health of the land and the quality of the wine by incorporating eco-friendly farming practices through Biodynamic winemaking. [W]e are as attentive to the other aspects of our property and the community as we are to our vines. We maintain and encourage biodiversity on the winery estate with chickens, a thriving bee hive, and a diverse vegetable and herb garden that includes the medicinal plants we use in the compost preparations such as yarrow, chamomile and dandelion. In the holistic spirit of biodynamics, we will also continue to cultivate a sense of community with our neighbors, growers, and natural surroundings. We will be featuring DeLoach’s 2009 Forgotten Vines Zinfandel. Their Zinfandel was recently recommended in Wine Enthusiast Magazine‘s September 2013 feature, “Insider’s Guide to Zinfandel.”
