Kacie Fawls, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech’s CFP Certification Education track, a CFP Board Registered Program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2021.
Kacie began her career in financial planning with Yeske Buie as an Intern in June 2020, and is excited for the opportunity to help the firm’s Clients reach their goals with a tight-knit group of talented professionals as a full-time Assistant Financial Planner. Prior to joining Yeske Buie, Kacie began her professional career as a Finance Intern for the Defense Logistics Agency, an agency within the Department of Defense. She worked for the Financial Policy Team which was created to write official procedure documents to improve the agency’s internal controls.
In her free time, Kacie enjoys long runs and walks, biking, hiking, coffee talks, and finding new ways to turn plants into dessert!
Client Focus: Kacie believes in the importance of vulnerability in order to help foster a trusting environment for anyone she meets. She has a passion for helping people and gets a great sense of fulfillment from holding someone’s hand during the tough times, helping to alleviate stress, making someone’s life easier in any way that she can. She is excited to meet Clients and is ready to jump at any opportunity to serve them in order to best meet their needs.
Current Update: With warmer weather making its way to the DC area, Kacie feels as though she is “defrosting” as her serotonin levels increase with the temperatures! Springtime is the busiest yet most fun time of year for Kacie and her family – between Easter traditions, annual trips with her and Dominic’s college friend group, sibling graduations, and booking trips to the beach in anticipation for the summer, the Fawls family has to make sure to schedule downtime for themselves.
As if their lives weren’t already hectic enough, Kacie and Dominic have decided to add training for the Marine Corps Marathon in October to the agenda. After training and racing the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler earlier this month, both of them feel back in love with running and the process of training for a long-distance race. Kacie is looking forward to the training process and pushing the limits both physically and mentally.
