FINANCIAL PLANNER
Kacie Fawls, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech’s CFP Certification Education track, a CFP Board Registered Program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2021.
Kacie began her career in financial planning with YeskeBuie as an Intern in June 2020, and is excited for the opportunity to help the firm’s Clients reach their goals with a tight-knit group of talented professionals as a full-time Assistant Financial Planner. Prior to joining YeskeBuie, Kacie began her professional career as a Finance Intern for the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency. She worked for the Financial Policy Team which was created to write official procedure documents to improve the agency’s internal controls.
In her free time, Kacie enjoys long runs and walks, biking, hiking, coffee talks, and finding new ways to turn plants into dessert!
Client Focus: Kacie believes in the importance of vulnerability in order to help foster a trusting environment for anyone she meets. She has a passion for helping people and gets a great sense of fulfillment from holding someone’s hand during the tough times — helping to alleviate stress and making someone’s life easier in any way that she can. She is excited to meet Clients and is ready to jump at any opportunity to serve them in order to best meet their needs.
Current Update: Hard to believe we are now in the -ber months of the year and already thinking about 2027. But football is back and Kacie got to celebrate the start of the season by attending Virginia Tech’s season opener in Blacksburg against Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where the Hokies won by a whopping 70-point lead! Like many others, she is feeling very optimistic about VT’s new head coach, James Franklin, and the season ahead. Her son Jack attended the game, too – his first official college football game (Kacie and Dominic are planting the seeds early!).
With fall on the horizon, Kacie is looking forward to a much-needed respite from the humidity and heat. She can’t wait to enjoy cooler temperatures, sweaters, and all things pumpkin spice. She’s also eager to stay at home a bit more over the next couple of months after a crazy summer traveling both internationally and across the US. The Fawls family is gearing up to celebrate Jack’s 4th (!!!!) birthday at the end of September, and are in awe of the wonderful person he is becoming!
As is the case at this time every year, Kacie is also readying herself for end-of-year planning with the financial planning team. While hectic, this is also the season Kacie feels most creative when it comes to developing charitable giving and tax planning strategies with her Clients that aligns with their goals and values.
