Kacie Fawls, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech’s CFP Certification Education track, a CFP Board Registered Program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2021.

Kacie began her career in financial planning with Yeske Buie as an Intern in June 2020, and is excited for the opportunity to help the firm’s Clients reach their goals with a tight-knit group of talented professionals as a full-time Assistant Financial Planner. Prior to joining Yeske Buie, Kacie began her professional career as a Finance Intern for the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency. She worked for the Financial Policy Team which was created to write official procedure documents to improve the agency’s internal controls.

In her free time, Kacie enjoys long runs and walks, biking, hiking, coffee talks, and finding new ways to turn plants into dessert!

Client Focus: Kacie believes in the importance of vulnerability in order to help foster a trusting environment for anyone she meets. She has a passion for helping people and gets a great sense of fulfillment from holding someone’s hand during the tough times — helping to alleviate stress and making someone’s life easier in any way that she can. She is excited to meet Clients and is ready to jump at any opportunity to serve them in order to best meet their needs.

Current Update: An unexpected move shook up life in the Fawls household but everything happens for a reason and the family is loving their new home and new neighborhood. After being in their new place for just two weeks, Kacie was able to welcome family and friends to celebrate Jack’s third birthday!

Kacie has also been spending her free time trying new things. After picking up a golf club for the first time this past summer, she recently participated in the Washington DC Estate Planning Council golf tournament with other team members from the Virginia office. She also baked cinnamon rolls for the first time and would boldly say they may have been better than Cinnabon.

As Kacie and the team gear up for the end of year and the excitement that comes with it, she is looking forward to some travel in the midst of all the craziness – FPA Residency in Colorado, a bucket list trip to Vermont to enjoy the last of the fall foliage, Virginia Beach for to celebrate her friends’ wedding, and all the travel associated with the holiday season. Thus far, 2025 has been a whirlwind and this last quarter will be no different.
