Got the Debt Crisis Blues

We wanted to offer a brief comment on the US debt “crisis,” now dominating every news outlet. While we continue to monitor the situation, we don’t know what will happen any more than anyone else (although opinions are not in short supply!). Here’s what we do know: any impact on financial markets will be short-lived, no matter what happens in Washington. In the end, market performance will be driven by economic fundamentals, not artificial crises.

So, enjoy the theater, but don’t buy into the drama.
