At many workplaces, December 31 is the deadline to use (or else lose) any funds you contributed to your healthcare flexible spending account (FSA) throughout the year. A healthcare FSA is an employer-provided benefit that allows you to contribute pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible medical, dental, and vision care expenses that your insurance plan may not cover. Today, we share a reminder to be mindful of your plan’s use it or lose it deadline, and additional details about these kinds of plans.

“Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.”

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). According to the Department of Homeland Security’s website, NCSAM is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online. This year’s overarching message – Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT. – will focus on key areas including citizen privacy, consumer devices, and e-commerce security. Check out NCSAM’s 2019 toolkit for guides, games and more, and for resources from Yeske Buie, check out our archive of cybersecurity posts.
