One of those steps is to keep yourself informed of the latest scams and the best practices for protecting your information. With this in mind, we offer the following:
Gearing Up for March Madness
March Madness has become a big deal around the Yeske Buie offices, with unorthodox bracket strategies being the norm. As we all prepare to fill out our brackets for the tournament beginning later this month, we’d like to share with you a bracket called The Financial Four. Rather than picking basketball teams, this bracket challenges people to prioritize the financial areas of their life that are most important to them. We encourage you to check it out – and the best part is, this bracket can never be busted!
Inspiration from Daylight Saving Time
Daylight saving time begins this Sunday, meaning most of the United States will “spring forward” and adjust their clocks one hour. As we think about saving daylight, we were inspired to collect and share a few of our posts related to saving money. We hope you find the following posts informative, and don’t forget to change your clocks!
Coming Soon: Our Newly Designed Website!
We are excited to share that a newly designed version of the Yeske Buie website will be unveiled in the not too distant future. The new design has been refreshed and refocused with YOU in mind, and we hope you find that it creates a clean and intuitive experience, allows you to find relevant information simply and quickly, and provides a clear message of who we are and the values that drive our approach to financial planning and relationships. Stay tuned, we can’t wait to share it with you!
Corrected 1099 Forms
As we expected, Schwab has released corrections to the original 1099 forms that were released in February. These corrected forms have been posted to your Schwab Alliance account. Step-by-step instructions for accessing the online forms can be found here. If you have any trouble at all accessing your forms, please don’t hesitate to give us a call so we can help. Looking ahead, Tax Day is just six weeks away and shortly after the filing deadline, we will send an email request to ask for a copy of your completed 2018 return as we do every year. The information provided in your tax return helps us to best serve you throughout the year as we perform tax related analysis. If your return is completed in advance of the deadline, feel free to send the documents to us using any of the methods described here.
