Yeske Buie Treated Fellow Financial Planners to Be Our Guest

This week, the Yeske Buie team treated fellow financial planners to two “Be Our Guest” presentations, sponsored by the Foundation for Financial Planning. The Foundation’s Be Our Guest program provides an opportunity for financial planning professionals to spend time with and learn directly from the profession’s leaders in exchange for a charitable contribution to the Foundation. Yeske Buie delivered two presentations – one on our Financial Planning Resident and Internship program and one on our Client Experience program, both of which have a distinguished reputation across the profession. Yeske Buie is pleased to have been one of the largest Be Our Guest programs in recent years, raising over $12,000 for the Foundation!

Important Information About Your 1099

Earlier this week, Schwab released the first round of 1099 forms required to complete your 2015 tax return. Schwab will send the forms in the mail as well as post them to your online Schwab Alliance account. If you use the Schwab Alliance website, here are instructions for accessing your 1099 electronically. In addition to this round of forms, Schwab will release Corrected 1099 forms early next month. We sent an email last week to those who we expect to receive Corrected 1099s suggesting that you wait until mid-March to file your return to avoid having to file an amended return.
