Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the Yeske Buie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.
Current Update: Summer has been a busy season (but when is there not a busy time?!). On top of staying engaged with the unfolding nature of our Clients’ lives, Tim and the team have been busy digesting the news coming out of Washington regarding new tax law and starting the process of translating the new law into action for our Clients. Tim also attended the Far West Roundup Conference where the new tax law was a particularly poignant topic for the years ahead.
On the personal front, Tim and Leslie traveled ‘across the pond’ for a visit to Tim’s family (alongside Leslie’s family!). Both Tim’s parents are from county Cork, and it has been some time since his last visit. This was also the first time Tim and Leslie turned the trip into a larger family gathering – a true Live Big® experience – filled with laughter, meaningful connections, and the joy of loved ones meeting for the first time while also reconnecting in a place that holds deep significance for his family. It has truly been a summer to remember, and there’s something uniquely invigorating about taking your own Live Big® trip that both recharges the spirit and inspires you to help others create their own Live Big® memories.
