Tim Connolly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College and is currently enrolled in the Financial Planning Certificate graduate program at Golden Gate University to fulfill the educational requirements towards becoming a CFP Professional.
In addition to his studies at Kenyon College, Tim was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players to eclipse 1,000 points in Kenyon’s history. Additionally, he was a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals. After graduating, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development.
During COVID, Tim decided to instead utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals. Since joining financial planning, Tim has enjoyed working with all different types of individuals to help think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He truly enjoys being able to think with people to help them use their financial resources to empower their lives. He is excited to be a newly minted member of the Yeske Buie team and has been getting acquainted with all our systems and tools, but he is most excited to start working with our amazing Clients!
Current Update: With summer in full swing, Tim and his wife, Leslie, enjoyed a recent visit from Leslie’s parents and brother. The trip was jam-packed with good times, good food, good views, and good memories. As part of the visit, Tim, Leslie, and the entire family went on a boat trip from San Francisco to the Farallon Islands and back. Though he’s a San Francisco native, this was the first time Tim went whale watching in the Bay, and he saw 4 whales! It was a good reminder to be a tourist in your own city from time to time. On top of whale watching, the visit coincided with beautiful weather which made it even easier for Tim and Leslie to show off San Francisco and Marin (for a night in Mill Valley).
Looking ahead, Tim and Leslie have plans to attend the weddings of two pairs of great friends in late July and early August in Philadelphia and Cleveland. As always, they’re looking forward to reconnecting with old friends.
Professionally, Tim is beginning the preparation process for the CFP® exam which he plans to take in November. He’s excited for the challenge and is accepting any and all study tips, well-wishes, good luck charms, and really just about anything else anyone thinks might help!
