Tim Connolly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College and is currently enrolled in the Financial Planning Certificate graduate program at Golden Gate University to fulfill the educational requirements towards becoming a CFP Professional.
In addition to his studies at Kenyon College, Tim was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players to eclipse 1,000 points in Kenyon’s history. Additionally, he was a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals. After graduating, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development.
During COVID, Tim decided to instead utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals. Since joining financial planning, Tim has enjoyed working with all different types of individuals to help think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He truly enjoys being able to think with people to help them use their financial resources to empower their lives. He is excited to be a newly minted member of the Yeske Buie team and has been getting acquainted with all our systems and tools, but he is most excited to start working with our amazing Clients!
Current Update: Professionally, Tim is ecstatic to have passed the CFP exam in November! Tim is approaching the year mark with the team, and he has thoroughly enjoyed being more and more involved in helping clients achieve their LiveBig goals. He looks forward to continuing to do so and applying the knowledge he gained while studying for the exam.
On the personal front, Tim has more free time now that the CFP exam is the rearview mirror. Still, Saturdays and Sundays look quite similar seeing as football season is in full tilt. With the additional free time, Tim has jumped back into some of his favorite hobbies including playing basketball, running, and spending more time with family and friends. In particular, he’s looking forward to the holidays for the dedicated time with family and friends, good food, and fun activities. Tim and Leslie make a point to attend at least one South Carolina football game each year (Leslie is an alum), and this year they are going to two, which is a treat they look forward to every year!
