Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the YeskeBuie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.

While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.

In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.

Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.

Current Update: The year has started off fast as it always does, so Tim has been busy with all that comes with the beginning of the year after finalizing all that comes with the end of the year. Most notably, the turn of the New Year brings time analyzing portfolios to review how the year shook out, as well as positioning portfolios for the year ahead. There’s a lot that goes into it, but it’s a fun and fast paced time of year for all of us.

Outside of YeskeBuie, Tim continues to be involved in an executive role at the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and in the mentorship of current interns and the search for new Summer Interns. Tim notes that he enjoys both roles and feels they play an important role in pushing the Financial Planning Profession forward. And he has a ton of fun working towards common goals with his bright and driven teammates.

On the personal front, the holidays are a busy time for Tim and his wife, Leslie. Tim and Leslie were back in South Carolina for Christmas. Tim enjoys the time with his in-laws and feels lucky to be able to say that. Though a lot of time was spent on the East Coast, Christmas is a special time in San Francisco and his family is local to the area, so there were many more good memories made on the West Coast, as well! He’s wishing everyone a great 2026!
