Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the YeskeBuie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.
Current Update: As we’ve settled into 2026, Tim has enjoyed meeting with Clients to discuss their exciting plans for the year ahead. The new year is a natural point that seems to bring energy to thinking about goals and aspirations, and Tim enjoys how that seems to translate into great conversations. The first quarter of the year also involves everyone’s favorite topic of conversation: taxes. Part of the early portion of the year involves thinking about the past tax year as well as any planning that can be done in the current year (on top of what we already did at the end of 2025!).
The same energy from the turn of the new year also has translated into other areas of Tim’s life. Whether that’s 2026 budgets and goals for the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco or finalizing our San Francisco Intern hire for the Summer, there’s a lot going on. Keeping that all in mind, Tim notes he did enjoy a few days away with the YeskeBuie team in Arizona. It was a fun few days that everyone got to spend together, and he felt refreshed and ready to jump right back in after a few days away from the office.
