Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the YeskeBuie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.
Current Update: The beginning of the year is an exciting time to be a Financial Planner as it’s filled with conversations about the exciting plans our Clients have for the year ahead. We can’t talk about the first quarter of the year without mentioning taxes, and with Tax Day come and gone, much of the planning shifts to preparing for the year ahead, though taxes remain a big part of that, too.
Tim recently celebrated two years at YeskeBuie! He continues to enjoy getting to know Clients on a deeper level whether through tax planning, conversations about plans for year ahead, or whatever else is important in our Clients’ lives.
Tim remains involved in the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and in YeskeBuie’s internship program. He’s excited to report that we’ve hired a new intern for 2026 and looks forward to the impact they’ll have this summer.
Squarely on the personal front, March and April also represent a favorite stretch of Tim’s year. As a former college basketball player, he looks forward to putting together his March Madness bracket (even though he’s never come close to a perfect bracket). Tim’s brother-in-law and cousin-in-law are both proud employees of Augusta National which gave Tim the opportunity to attend the Master’s Tournament this year. He notes that Augusta National is a special place, and one of his favorite parts of attending was seeing how much pride his family takes in their work and in putting on a world-class tournament. He notes it really is an experience like no other and feels lucky to have attended. (He also now considers himself Rory McIlroy’s good luck charm as Rory has won both tournaments that Tim has attended.)
