Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the Yeske Buie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.
Current Update: 2025 is proving no different than other years in that Tim is wondering where the time has gone and how we are already past the halfway point in the year – time flies when you’re having fun! Tax planning has given way to mid-year review of portfolios and continual proactive planning and day-to-day support that comes up as our Clients’ lives unfold. Additionally, Tim and the Financial Planning Team recently attended FPA NorCal which he enjoys for the conversations, new perspectives, and knowledge that that he can bring back to our Clients and the team.
On the personal front, Tim and his wife, Leslie, are gearing up for a trip to Ireland to visit Tim’s family (alongside Leslie’s family!). Highlights of the upcoming trip include watching Cork in the All-Ireland Semifinals (both Tim’s parents are from county Cork), visiting with relatives they haven’t seen in quite some time (or, in Leslie and her family’s case, may have not have met yet), and seeing all the great sights along the way. Of course, they’re also looking forward to all the small moments in between.
