Tim Connolly, CFP® holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College. He has also completed the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning Program at Golden Gate University and earned the CFP® certification in November 2024.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Tim held roles in tax consulting where he was responsible for working directly with business owners, executives, and other allied professionals to identify and quantify tax strategies related to company research and development. During COVID, Tim decided to utilize his education and professional knowledge directly with individuals, and he joined a fee-only financial planning firm where he worked with a range of different individuals and situations. Tim joined the YeskeBuie Team in 2024, and has particularly enjoyed being a thought partner to help Clients think through their financial lives and empower them to Live Big.
While Tim was studying at Kenyon College, he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team and is one of the 27 players in Kenyon basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. He was also a member of the Kenyon Student Athlete Association and volunteered at Transition Mission, a program designed for special needs individuals.
In his free time, Tim enjoys playing basketball, competing with (and sometimes against) his wife in various athletic events, and exploring the city on foot with his wife and dog. When not playing sports, Tim can usually be found with his family and friends supporting his favorite local sports teams (go Niners and Warriors!) and spending time catching up at one of the many great places to eat around the city.
Client Focus: Tim’s favorite part of financial planning is the ability to work with so many talented and interesting people. He enjoys being able to think with his Clients and his teammates to help them use their financial resources reach their Live Big goals. Whether it’s diving into a spreadsheet, acting as a sounding board, or anything in between, Tim enjoys being able to partner with all our Clients to help them imagine and build their Live Big lives.
Current Update: Tim can’t believe how quickly the mid-year point of 2026 has come. Each year brings something different though sometimes they rhyme. Tax conversations have given way and markets have come squarely into light given geopolitical conflict around the world and high-profile IPOs. Tim appreciates the role he gets to play in our Client’s lives as we all navigate these events together.
Tim also had the pleasure of attending Money Quotient Training and the NorCal Financial Planning Conference. Tim values the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the profession and the perspective the speakers and his colleagues bring. He notes that he leaves these experiences feeling mentally fried, but in a way that he’s excited to bring back what he’s learned to incorporate into how we serve Clients.
Tim remains involved in the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and YeskeBuie’s internship program. As of the writing of this update, one of our two interns has already arrived (Welcome, Erin!) and our next intern is a week away from starting (Excited to have you, Euli!). He looks forward to the impact they’ll have this summer.
