Cybercrime and Scammers – Part of Our Modern Lives
Scammers and cybercriminals have moved to the digital world, allowing them to work their scams in ways never previously believed, while potentially having hundreds of victims spread across the globe. These bad actors are extremely talented and target organizations and individuals with equal interest.
Why do people fall for scams when some seem so obvious? Are they really as organized as we are told? What are some of the most common scams out there? We went live with veteran information security professional, Erich Kron, who answered these questions and more in this recorded webinar.
Erich Kron, Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4, is a veteran information security professional with over 25 years’ experience in the medical, aerospace manufacturing and defense fields. He is the former security manager for the US Army’s 2nd Regional Cyber Center-Western Hemisphere and holds CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SACP, MCITP and ITIL v3 certifications, among others. Erich has worked with information security professionals around the world to provide the tools, training and educational opportunities to succeed in Information Security.
Throughout the presentation, Erich talks about:
- What scams to watch for,
- How cybercriminals make scams successful, and
- How to protect yourself against cybercrime
Erich shared a number of valuable stories and suggestions, and we think you’ll find yourself feeling the need to change a password or two by the end of the video! In case you missed it, here’s a recording of the engaging and informative presentation.
