Yeske Buie is proud to share that Lauren Stansell, CFP® has been named to Forbes’ Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State list. She’s the first among the Yeske Buie team to achieve this national honor, ranking 41st among over 70 financial advisors recognized in California.

This Is No Small Feat

Forbes works with SHOOK Research to create their advisor rankings annually, and they focus on quality, not just the numbers. SHOOK Research creates “rankings of role models – advisors that are leading the way in offering best practices and providing a high-quality experience for clients.”

To find these role models, SHOOK interviews advisors in-person, by telephone, and online, and evaluates best practices such as investing models, service models, compliance records, and quantitative data (such as AUMs and revenue trends). Additionally, all candidates need at least seven years of experience to be considered, and qualitative metrics including team dynamics, community involvement, and feedback from management, peers, and competing peers are all factored into the final ranking.

Hallmarks of an Achiever

A look at Lauren’s skills and accomplishments throughout her ten-year career make it clear why she was honored with this ranking. Hallmarks of Lauren’s achievements include education, her listening skills, and leadership.

After earning bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Finance at Virginia Tech (both summa cum laude), Lauren’s career in the financial planning profession began in 2012. By early 2015, she was an accredited CFP® professional. Lauren went on to earn her master’s degree in Advanced Financial Planning with a concentration in Taxation through Golden Gate University in 2019. As impressive as these accomplishments are, they are just the beginning.

One of Lauren’s greatest skills is her ability to actively listen. She is passionate about the discovery process – learning more about the unique, personal life journeys of each of our clients – and strives to be a client’s “deep breath” in times of need. She enjoys facilitating and participating in these meaningful relationships and is an exemplar of Yeske Buie’s standard of excellent service to our clients.

Lauren has been a leader since her college days. She co-founded the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) Student Chapter at Virginia Tech and was the first president of the organization. With the heart of a teacher, Lauren is passionate about growing and molding the future of the financial planning profession. She served as the Co-Director of NextGen for FPA of the National Capital Area, and locally, she served as the 2021 President and 2022 Chair of the FPA of San Francisco. She is a graduate of FPA’s Residency Program and is now a Mentor in the program. At Yeske Buie, she’s also an integral part of our recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring processes.

Somehow, Lauren balances all of this with being a wife and the mother of an energetic 18-month-old daughter. Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, exploring the Bay area (especially restaurants), and horseback riding.

Live Big®: Advisory Excellence

Lauren Stansell’s grand slam is no doubt indicative of even more stellar accomplishments to come. We’re excited to see the professional mountains she crests next and look forward to celebrating those with her, as well.

So, congratulations, and keep it up, Lauren! This kind of recognition makes it clear why your insights are the answer a growing number of Bay Area professionals rely on.
