Top Honors for Our Leading Ladies
We are excited to share that Yeske Buie has been honored with the recognition as one of the top 80 women-owned business in the San Francisco Bay Area. Co-Founder, Elissa Buie, has built a reputation for being a powerful leader within the firm and within the financial planning profession, and it’s a privilege to continue her legacy with our next generation women owners, Lauren Stansell and Lauren Mireles.
Elissa’s impact as a role model to the other women on the Yeske Buie team is undeniable. In reflecting on their experience at a firm with powerful women leaders, team members said the following:
- “I am very proud that the CEO of our firm is a woman. It is probably one of the most shared things I say when anyone asks about my job!” – Cristin Stinson
- “It doesn’t get better than having Elissa Buie as a role model, mentor, and inspiration. If the term ‘powerful woman’ was in the dictionary, her picture would be there (along with Michelle Obama and countless others!).” – Lauren Stansell
- “Elissa is the epitome of making an impact.” – Sydney Woodward
While the San Francisco Business Times award included businesses of all industries, we think it’s worth noting that the CFP Board estimates a 3:1 ratio of male to female professionals within the financial planning profession. These numbers further reiterate our pride that over 50% of our team members are women and that we are majority woman owned.
In addition to the recognition, San Francisco Business Times extended an invitation for our women owners to attend a business luncheon to connect with the other powerful women leaders in the area. Lauren Stansell attended the event and felt empowered to engage in meaningful conversations and make valuable new connections with her fellow women leaders.
Overall, this recognition celebrates not just our past but the bright future we’re building together, where women continue to lead and inspire in the financial planning profession. It’s an honor to be recognized and we look forward to continuing to foster a culture of empowerment for all of our team members, Clients, and other partners.
