SYDNEY WOODWARD

ASSISTANT FINANCIAL PLANNER

Sydney Woodward holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech’s CFP Certification Education Track. During her time at school, she was involved in the Financial Planning Association Student Chapter, where she was fortunate enough to attend conferences that allowed her to build relationships with others in the profession. She also worked with Virginia Tech’s Collegiate Women in Business where she organized networking opportunities for young women in her program.

During her last collegiate summer, Sydney interned at Clarendon Wealth Management in Arlington, Virginia. The summer was filled with professional and personal growth as she learned the basics of her profession – client meetings specifically sparked a renewed excitement for her career.

After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2020, Sydney moved to Illinois where she worked as a Financial Planning Associate at Ehlert Financial Group. The fee-based firm, which specializes in planning for families with special needs, gave her a new perspective on the profession, and solidified her passion for financial planning. While at the firm, she got to work with a diverse group of families and help them redefine the dreams and goals they had for their disabled loved ones.

Sydney is currently serving as the 2022 Director of Technology for the San Francisco Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). In her role as Director of Technology she is responsible for running smooth virtual meetings and is working on streamlining the chapters member database.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys hiking, painting, and training her pitbull, Avery.

Client focus: Sydney believes that relationship building is the basis of a great financial planning experience. She is excited to meet Clients and assist them in maximizing their Live Big lives.

Current update: Sydney is enjoying her first spring in San Francisco! After returning from a 10-day vacation where she was hiking at National Parks in Utah and Arizona (in 100+ degree heat!) she has a renewed appreciation for the cool San Francisco weather! Sydney is looking forward to the next few months as they come with a bit more travel (which she is so excited to be doing again). In June, she will be attending the Financial Planning Association’s Residency program with Rachel and Kacie in Denver, Colorado and in July she is excited to be traveling to Indiana to attend her Great Aunt’s wedding! And now with the CFP® exam behind her, she is looking forward to using her newfound free time to experience and explore more of San Francisco with her pup, Avery.
