What a year it was (we say this every year, right?) – 2023 provided no shortage of excitement with respect to the goings on in financial markets and the world’s economies. Since there’s far too much to address in a single post, we’ll focus this piece on what happened in the stock market last year (stay tuned for the second half of our 2023 review, which will summarize what we observed in the bond market).
Late last year, we shared this piece where we drew three connections between investing and fantasy football and gave an inside look into some of our team’s nerdy shenanigans. Two months and a few close games later, we have our league winner – Yeske Buie CEO, Elissa Buie! Elissa was the lowest seeded player in the playoffs and beat Aubrey, Will, and Lauren Stansell to take the coveted title of Recognized Best Fantasy Football Manager. Way to go, Elissa!
We are honored to share that Yusuf Abugideiri, has been named to Washingtonian Magazine’s list of top financial professionals. Those who made the list received the most professional nominations when asked: “besides yourself and your business partners, whom would you trust with your own money?” Yeske Buie has a history of appearing on the list since it’s inception, and this is Yusuf’s fifth time being recognized.
