Will Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech’s CFP® Certification Education track, a CFP Board Registered Program. He graduated Cum Laude in May 2023 and is a strong advocate of the program. Will passed his CFP® exam in July 2024 and earned the CFP® certification in March 2026.

Throughout his undergrad, Will worked at two separate internships at financial planning firms, furthering his learning of the profession. The summer leading into his senior year during his internship in Northern Virginia, Will had the opportunity to help in the creation of several financial plans. In doing this, he learned important principles and nuances that go into the financial planning process. During his winter internship in New Jersey, Will had the chance to work for a newly established company. With this experience, he was able to witness first-hand, and participate in, the hard work it takes to start a firm. Doing this not only gave Will a unique experience, but taught him an early lesson in the benefits of dedication and purpose.

From his education from Virginia Tech’s program and his internship experiences, Will became fully focused on fee-only financial planning. The ability to make quality, trusting, and lasting relationships while performing meaningful work is what led to his passion for financial planning.

In his free time, Will enjoys playing golf and basketball. He started rooting for the Boston Celtics simply because his dad did and now, they hold a major place in his heart. He also enjoys taking trips with his family and friends and had a great time at Lake Placid in winter 2022.

Client Focus: Will believes that clear communication is fundamental for a great relationship. As a Client Support Specialist, he is excited for the opportunity to work with an amazing team and help Clients achieve their Live Big goals.

Current Update: Will has enjoyed the opportunity to help support and train Austin as his successor in the Client Support Specialist role over the last couple months. He is also looking forward to his own “bootcamp,” as he prepares to switch to the Associate Financial Planner role.

Will had a great time reconnecting with the entire team this July during the annual YeskeBuie retreat. Their time together is always so special, and this year did not let down. Will is also looking forward to attending his first Far West conference in late July with other members of the financial planning team.

Personally, Will has been tirelessly working on his golf game, despite the results not quite displaying (yet!). He is also counting down the days until his upcoming vacation where he will be visiting three National Parks (Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Glacier!). It is sure to be a Live Big® experience!
