Our team at Schwab has informed us of a scam targeting Clients via a search engine optimization (SEO) scam. According to Schwab, “Scammers are using SEO to create fake websites that appear in search results for trusted institutions like Schwab. When Clients visit these sites, they are exposed to phishing attacks aimed at stealing their information and assets.” This tactic is extremely dangerous, and we encourage you to continue reading to learn more so you can properly protect yourself.
We are happy to share that our annual in-person event in Virginia will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 4:00pm – 7:30pm at J. Gilbert’s Restaurant in McLean, VA. Earlier this week, Schwab released Corrected 1099 Forms for your Yeske Buie managed Schwab accounts. This means that all of your required tax forms are now available via Schwab Alliance. You will use these forms and/or give these forms to your accountant to prepare your 2023 tax returns.
