Homework may not be fun, but staying on top of these assignments now can make for a smoother year-end. And if you’d like a “study partner,” feel free to pull us in – the assignment may be yours, but you don’t have to tackle it alone.

• Tax Deadlines: 2025 third quarter estimated tax payments are due on Monday, September 15, and if you filed an extension for your 2024 return, the final filing deadline is about a month away on October 15.

• Share Your Tax Return: The newly enacted One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) includes a number of tax law changes that may impact your plan, and we want to make sure we’re proactively identifying any opportunities that could benefit you before the year comes to a close. To that end, if you haven’t already, we ask that you please send us a copy of your 2024 return using one of these secure methods.

• FAFSA: Families with college-bound students should note that the 2026–27 FAFSA opens on October 1. Earlier preparation can help avoid last-minute stress.

• Medicare Open Enrollment: The annual enrollment window runs from October 15 through December 7. Much like a new school year invites a fresh start, this is the time to confirm your coverage supports your overall plan. • Charitable Giving: Planning to give back before December 31? Let us know so we can help you execute gifts in the most tax-efficient way.
